Amanda Owen took to her Instagram account yesterday evening to share a long-awaited update on one of the family’s most beloved animals – Tony the Pony.
The Shetland pony has been a staple member of the family for many years, with the children growing fond of the little horse over the years.
During a classic episode of their Channel 5 series – Our Yorkshire Farm which came to an end in 2022 – some of the children were seen giving Tony a pedicure.
As Clemmie picked Tony's hooves, Owen said: "Tony nearly fell over, good girl you've got it. It's a good lesson to learn. It takes a lot to care for a horse, doesn't it?"
Later on in the episode, four of the children and a sheepdog headed out on a walk across the farm while Clemmy rode her beloved Tony.
After being homeschooled during lockdown, the youngest of Owen’s children found it hard to return to school – which was an hour-and-a-half journey – and didn’t want to leave Tony.
One of the children explained: "Tony knows we go to school because every time it's a school morning he comes to the door to say goodbye."
Owen has since given an update on Tony and left fans to thank her for bringing him back onto their social media feed.
Posting a series of images of Tony alongside a couple of her daughters, she penned: “Still going strong & still the G.O.A.T. Tony the pony. #yorkshire #shepherdess #pony #farm #countryside.”
Quick to show their excitement, one fan commented: “So wonderful to know we'll see you all again! And Tony and all the animals.”
Amanda Owen returned to social media recently and showed off her grown-up daughters
“Omg, I just love Tony the Pony,” another added before a third expressed: “Oh my goodness what a happy sight! Your beautiful girls & Tony the pony pure joy!”
Someone else noted: “I re-watched the episode when you bought Tony the other day! He's always been a lil cool due, and I love his bond with the girls.”
“It’s lovely to see you all again. I can’t wait for the new series,” a fifth said before a sixth wrote: “Can't wait for the new programme to start and see the gorgeous 9 again.” (sic)
The update from the Yorkshire Shepherdess comes after the trailer for the Owen family’s new series – Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids – dropped.

The family is returning to TV screens on Monday, October 14, where the family work together to breathe life back into a derelict neighbouring property they bought to plan for the family’s future.
The series sees Amanda, Clive and their nine children work with a team of local tradespeople to slowly bring their ambitious vision for the farmhouse - known locally as Anty John’s - to life.
They’ll tackle the changing seasons and challenging elements along the way, as well as get to grips with the nature of restoring a listed property in a remote location.
