Tottenham Hotspur secured their survival with three points over Everton, as Bournemouth had to settle for Europa League football after Aston Villa beat Manchester City.
Brentford and Chelsea missed out on qualification for Europe, and Manchester United convincingly saw off Brighton, who will play in the Europa Conference League.
Elsewhere, Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions and defeated Crystal Palace, Fulham beat Newcastle, and Burnley drew with Wolves.

West Ham have been relegated from the Premier League after Spurs' victory against Everton, meaning it was mathematically impossible for the Hammers to stay up.
Despite goals from Taty Castellanos, Jarrod Bowen, and a stunner from Callum Wilson, the 3-0 win over Leeds United was not enough as West Ham heads down to the second division.
The Hammers, who have been in the Premier League since 2012, end their tenure in England's top-flight as they are confirmed as the third side relegated this season.

Joao Palhinha's goal and Spurs' 1-0 win mean Tottenham will not play in the Championship next season
| REUTERSTottenham Hotspur only needed a point at the start of play, but picked up all three points with a 1-0 win against Everton.
Joao Palhinha's first-half effort put Spurs in the lead, with the holding midfielder in tears after scoring as he celebrated with his manager.
Spurs saw out the second half, including a fantastic save by Antonin Kinsky from Tyrique George's long shot.
With 41 points, Spurs will play in the Premier League next season.

Bruno Fernandes broke the assist record as Manchester United beat Brighton 3-0

A historic moment unfolded at the Amex Stadium, which captured the attention of those down on the south coast as Bruno Fernandes broke the record for the most assists in a Premier League season.
His whipped-in delivery from a corner was headed home by Patrick Dorgu as the Portuguese ticked over to 21 assists for this season.
Bryan Mbeumo got himself on the scoresheet as did Fernandes with Manchester United winning the contest against Brighton 3-0.
Brighton dropped out of the Europa League spots but will still play in the Europa Conference League.

Sunderland have secured Europa League football

With Sunderland and Chelsea bidding for a spot in Europe, it was a must-win for both, but it was the Black Cats who came out on top.
Trai Hume finished on the volley past Robert Sanchez in the first-half, with the Spaniards positioning up to question being caught out at his near post.
Sunderland doubled their advantage thanks to an own goal from Malo Gusto.
Cole Palmer pulled one back, but it wasn't enough for Calum McFarlane's 10 men after Wesley Fofana was sent off.
The Black Cats secured Europa League football in an incredible campaign after coming up from the Championship.

Arsenal soaked in the sunshine being crowned Premier League champions

Arsenal celebrated their special day as they were crowned Premier League champions and defeated Crystal Palace 2-1.
Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke were enough for Mikel Arteta's side to end the league season on a high note.
Jean-Philippe Mateta pulled one back just before the end with a glancing header. Yeremy Pino thought he levelled up the game, but an offside was given in the process.
Both sides made numerous changes, with their attention firmly on their respective European finals.

Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth played out a 1-1 draw at the City Ground.
Morgan Gibbs-White set out to prove why he should have been included in the England squad with a beauty of a strike past Djordje Petrovic in the Bournemouth goal.
Marcus Tavernier levelled things up early on in the second half, with the Cherries fans glued to their phones hoping results elsewhere go their way to secure Champions League football.
Unfortunately for those in attendance, it did not, but a fabulous season has still been rewarded with Europa League football next year.

Manchester City said goodbye to Pep Guardiola as the legendary manager was given an ovation at the Etihad Stadium.
Antoine Semenyo converted home from a corner after Aston Villa were caught sleeping at the far post, to put City 1-0 up.
Unai Emery's Villains did upset the party as Ollie Watkins came of age with two fabulous goals for the Europa League champions.
The Spaniard was nearly in tears after being given a guard of honour after the game in recognition for his incredible decade in Manchester.

Liverpool drew 1-1 at Anfield against Brentford as the Bees missed out on a spot in Europe.
On a game filled with send-offs for Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, it was Liverpool who took the lead through Curtis Jones.
Kevin Schade pulled one back six minutes after as the sides shared the points.
Dango Outtara had a golden opportunity right at the death but headed his chance wide, as Brentford's brilliant season ends without European qualification.

Issa Diop got on the scoresheet for Fulham

Fulham opened up the scoring against Newcastle United after a long-range free kick smashed the crossbar, which was turned home by Issa Diop on the rebound.
Tom Cairney got the Whites' second goal with the best finish of the afternoon, whipping in a left-footed strike into the top corner.
Fulham end the season top of the bottom half and one position above Newcastle in 12th.

Zian Flemming scored once again for Burnley

Over at Turf Moor, Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers played out a 1-1 draw.
Adam Armstrong scored an early penalty after a VAR check, slotting past Jose Sa, who went the wrong way.
Zian Flemming levelled things up a couple of minutes into the second half as the sides shared the points.
The fixture, which will be a Championship contest next season, saw Wolves remain at the bottom of the table, with Burnley in 19th.
