The 29-year-old footballer arrested for assault over the weekend has been named as England striker Ivan Toney, according to reports.
On Sunday, it emerged that an unnamed international star had been handcuffed in central London.
Now, The Sun has named the player as ex-Brentford man Toney.
The Metropolitan Police told the newspaper: "We were called to Wardour Street at 12.47am on Saturday following reports of an assault.

"The victim was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
"A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of two counts of assault and one count of affray.
"He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue."

A fan allegedly grabbed Toney by the neck inside the club for a selfie - sparking a confrontation as a result.
A witness revealed the 29-year-old may have felt threatened by the group.
"He's a superstar - he gets half a million a week in Saudi Arabia," he said. "He had his jewellery on and he had a real nice watch."
The eyewitness added that the Three Lions ace may have believed he could have been attacked for his valuables.
"Toney has said: 'Get off me, get off me' and ended up headbutting one of the guys," he alleged.

The London Ambulance Service said it sent an ambulance and a paramedic at 1.57am to reports of an alleged assault.
One person was hospitalised, while two more patients were discharged at the scene, a spokesman said.
A security guard said he had seen "a ton" of police cars descending on Wardour Street that evening.
"We normally get that around here but there was a lot of personal security rushing up the street too," he told The Sun.
Police are then said to have returned to the area on Sunday to ask further questions.
The 100 Wardour St venue bills itself as "an Iconic Soho address which has hosted the best British bands and finest London restaurants for decades" and the home of "innovative cocktails, international cuisine, live music and DJ sets".
