Prince William 'will have to step up before he wanted to' as King Charles battles cancer

William is already having to cut his break short to cover for his father, having previously stepped back temporarily to care for his wife and family after her stay in hospital for surgery.

According to Cole, William will now be taking on a more “prominent” role, something he would have preferred to defer.

“William will now be forced to taking a more prominent role”, he told Andrew Pierce and Bev Turner.

“This is something which perhaps he would have preferred to defer for a decade or so.

“He’s going to be front and centre for quite a long time now, at the same time as he’s looking after his wife, who we know has gone to hospital.”
