'Be positive, go to the doctors in Britain, who are the best in the world, you'll win,' the broadcaster told others facing health woes
Mike Parry has shared a health update on GB News, thanking viewers for a flood of well-wishes.
The journalist and broadcaster appeared on The People’s Channel, sporting a plaster on his forehead and nose.
“I'm being treated for skin cancer across my face, and all the initial treatment has started,” Mr Parry began.
Addressing the plasters, he said: “What you're seeing now is the aftermath of the biopsies, where they take samples.
“They're working out a course of treatment, which will start very soon. At the moment, I'm in very good shape.
“Thank you to the millions, and I mean millions of people who've been in touch, and I can assure you it's something that I'm going to get over,” the journalist declared.
“I want to offer hope to everybody who's got a serious illness.
“Be positive, go to the doctors in Britain, who are the best in the world, you'll win.”
Mr Parry appeared visibly moved as Nana Akua read some of the well-wishes sent in by GB News viewers throughout the show.
“It’s so, so very kind to them,” he said.
