Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation after finding a woman's body in a public toilet.
The discovery was close to the famous Banbury Cross in Oxfordshire.
The body was found yesterday morning when officers arrived at the West Bar Street facilities at 8.20am.
Police immediately sealed off the area surrounding the toilets.
The facilities sit near the iconic 16-metre neo-Gothic monument in the heart of the market town.
Detectives are treating the death as unexplained whilst they work to establish the circumstances.
The deceased woman has not yet been identified.

|He said: "Officers attended the public toilets on West Bar Street, close to the Banbury Cross, and sadly found the body of a woman.
"We are still in the initial stages of this investigation, and the woman has not yet been identified.
"If anyone has any information regarding this unexplained death, please make contact with us on 101 quoting reference 43260255904."
