GB News presenter Nigel Farage has slammed Boris Johnson's "car crash" leadership in a video poster via Twitter, following this morning's announcement of a vote of no confidence.
The Prime Minister will now face a vote by Tory MPs amid rising anger at the disclosures over lockdown parties in Downing Street.
Sir Graham Brady, chairman of the backbench 1922 Committee, confirmed in a statement that he has now received the 54 letters from Conservative MPs needed to trigger a vote.
The vote – by secret ballot – will take place at Westminster on Monday 6 June between 6pm and 8pm, with the count to take place immediately afterwards.

It comes after a steady stream of Conservative MPs called publicly for the Prime Minister to stand down in the wake of Sue Gray’s report into breaches of the Covid regulations in No 10 and Whitehall.
Nigel reacted to the news in his video claiming he was "not in the least bit surprised that these letters have gone into Graham Brady".
Outlining the reasons, he referenced the booing of the Prime Minister and his wife Carrie Johnson at the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral.
The GB News presenters met with royal fans across the four-day celebrations, noting their disdain at the PM.
He added how many now think Mr Johnson is a "shambles" and a "total embarrassment".

The last vote of no confidence occurred in 2018, which saw Theresa May clutch on to a small victory, only to be booted out of Downing Street months later.
Condemning Mrs May as "probably the worst prime minister we've ever had in this country", Nigel urged MPs not to make the same mistake twice.
Encouraging MPs to vote against Mr Johnson, Nigel added: "This time it's up to the MPs and the MPs only to decide on whether they can save themselves.
"Between a quarter and a third of those who voted Conservative in 2019 are absolutely disgusted with Boris and this government."
Concluding his speech, Nigel referenced the 1997 general election in the UK which saw the defeat of the Conservative government, led by John Major, and the election of Labour leader Tony Blair.
The GB News presenter said: "If they keep Boris Johnson as prime minister the Conservatives are heading for a 1997-style total disaster."
Pondering the future leadership of the Conservative Party, Nigel believes there's "no obvious successor" but emphasised that Mr Johnson is "not the right man for now".
Nigel called for a new leader with "honesty and integrity" to step forward, warning if they refrain from doing so their party is "doomed".
